 2003 San Diego Skim Fiesta
The Skim Fiesta Pro / Am is scheduled for
November 15th with heats beginning at around 9:00 AM.
This is a one day event. Meet at the People’s Wall (directions
at the bottom). If the event has moved, directions will be given
for the new location. Divisions include: 14 and under, 15 – 17,
18 – 22, 25 – 29, 30 and up, Women’s, and Pro. Entry fee for
the amateur divisions is $10, and $45 for the Pros. Application
must be received by Friday night (the 14th) or a $5 late entry fee will
be charged (so do us a favor and apply early!). There will be
plenty of prizes for the amateurs, and prize money will be distributed
among the top 3 professional riders. Heats will consist of 3 – 4
man heats of 15 - 20 minutes with the top 3 waves scored (emphasis on
quality, not quantity).

/ 04)? Hometown? Pro? Amateur? Phone Number? (not required, but helpful)
Entry fees will be collected in cash on the day of the event (sorry,
checks, credit cards, and IOU’s are NOT accepted). Again,
a $5 late fee will be charged to those registering on the beach, so sign
up early. Registering ahead of time saves us time and money, so do
us a favor.
Directions: Take Interstate 5 south until La Jolla
Village Drive (turn off is about a mile before the huge white Mormon
church). Take a right on La Jolla Village Drive (going west) until
Torrey Pines Road, and take a left at the signal (going south).
Follow Torrey Pines Road until Girard Street (intersection with the Vons
grocery store) and take a left (going south) and take an immediate right
at Pearl Street (going west). Then, take a right at La Jolla
Boulevard followed by an immediate right at the next intersection (going
north). Go one block until Couvier Street (across from the La
Jolla Recreational Center), and take a left (going west). The
event is at the bottom of the street
