Deck is a company that makes a Velcro attachment system that can be
used on skimboards and surfboards. Basically the system consists
of pads and booties. The booties have one side of Velcro on them
and the pads have the other. The pads are glued to the deck of the
board so that when a skimboarder who is wearing the booties jumps on the
board, he sticks to it. This is usually not used for everyday wave riding
but rather for extreme snowboard like maneuvers performed off the top of
waves. Not for the beginner, or those with a fear of heights.
In the hands of an accomplished rider however, the possibilities are
endless.
