Picture Set #4
I pulled up to the beach last Friday and couldn't believe my eyes! It
had finally gotten good! Winter was officially over! I grabbed my camera
to get a few quick shots from the hill. After I saw Billy get this wave
I was done filming. It was time to skim.
The tide was way too high but Chia wasn't done skimming... I wonder why?
He rode this one a long way and got a 180 into the barrel right on the
sand. And I mean right on the sand.
There are a few pictures in this Volume from this day at the wedge. This
was one of my warm-up runs that turned out o be more than a warm-up!
Chia getting run over by a Kayak. This day Johnson and Ron May were
riding Kayaks when the found me and Chia riding West Street sider. Not
having their skimmers with them, they improvised. Johnson actually
caught an in and out barrel right up onto the sand. Unfortunately I
didn't get it on video so you cant see. Ron may caught the lip with his
head. I got that one on video.
