This past weekend in a town just north of Chicago people were competing on skimboards.  The contest took place at Grand Haven City Beach where 40 riders showed up to compete.  The conditions were a little choppy due to power boats but the weather cooperated resulting in a good spirited competition.  Matt Smolenski took first place followed by Dave North in second place.  The contest was organized by a fellow named Ned with the help of Chapter 11 Sports and 92.7 Classic Rock.  Thanks to Dave North for supplying pictures and information.
