As was announced earlier on SkimOnline.com, Bill Bryan won the Portugal contest this August.  What was not announced was that two Portuguese riders snatched up second and third.  This was no small feat seeing as how they not only had to edge out other local riders but also Ivan Ashauer and Keith Peery (a top 10 UST rider).  This is how the top four pros panned out:

1. Bill Bryan
2. Lino Curado
3. Hugo Santos
4. Keith Peery

Bill Bryan is quoted as saying that Hugo and Lino were "right on (his) tail".  I for one think that it is cool that these Portuguese riders have proved themselves to be world class skimboarders.  Bill also mentioned that he was very impressed with the professional contest organization and the media coverage that the contest received.  Surely a good thing for the sport.  Lets hope we can look forward to more of these contests in the future.
