Skim City started out over seven years ago becoming the first dedicated online skim shop ever.  While they always had a physical location as part of "The Pit" surf shop in North Carolina, they still didn't have a true location to call their own.

That is until earlier this year when they opened the first ever retail storefront dedicated solely to skimboarding.   In the shop outside of Melbourne FL you will not find any surfboards or leashes, nor will you find surf videos or other surfing accessories.  For the first time, skimboarders have a shop to call their own, which is yet another milestone in the sport laid down by Skim City Greg.

The location in Melbourne is quite possibly the highest concentration of skimboard gear anywhere in the world.  With hundreds of skimboards on display and the accessories to match you are bound to find most anything you could desire.

And the best part of all is that this is not a move from one location to another.  It is an expansion, a second location.  The Kill Devil Hills location will remain open along with the online store and the new Melbourne location.

So here is to blazing new trails in the sport.  May there be many more to come.
