Bill Bryan is one of the most incredible skimboarders of all
time. He has been largely recognized as the best
skimboarder in the world for almost a decade. This kind of
success in a sport is almost unheard of. By comparison,
Kelly Slater has won about six world titles. However, although
Kelly is considered the best competitor, and best surfer in a wide
variety of conditions, he is not the best big wave surfer.
Bill Bryan on the other hand does it all, and more. He is
the best in all skimboarding conditions. Besides
skimboarding, Bill is an excellent snowboarder and surfer.
He has won crossover (surfing and snowboarding) competitions in
Europe and the United States suggesting that he one of the best
all around board riders anywhere. Recently he has been
dominating waveloch
contests all over the world. While
top athletes in other boardsports scratch their head and wonder
how this "skimboarding guy" can beat them, those who
know what he is capable of just smirk.
Bill and his brother George are responsible for
all of the good skimboarding videos
that are available. They started 10th Street Bros.
Productions in 1994 and have been releasing a video annually
ever since.
Every once in a while someone will get lucky and
beat Bill in a contest. However, make no mistake, when
Bill is on fire he does stuff on a skimboard routinely,
that no one has ever done before. He is truly in a league
of his own.
