Notes:  Kai is a great all around skimboarder.  He can handle anything from one foot slop to 6 foot Cabo shorepound.  His style is an interesting mix of solid power skimming and some select new school moves.  One of the most impressive aspects of his riding is his consistency.  He is always ripping.  Most riders tend to have off days and on days but Kai is steady as a rock.  This is exemplified by the fact that places in the top eight of almost every contest he enters.  That kind of consistency paid off in 2000 as he was ranked 4th in the world on the United Skim Tour.

Kai was also the resident shaper at Victoria Skimboards for quite a while.  I am not sure if he is still working there but there are rumors that he has been collecting filming footage for a Victoria Skimboards video to be released in the summer of 2001.  We will keep our fingers crossed.
