Seignosse / Hossegor

The best spot in France is one of the beach of Seignosse.  This beach is called :"LES BOURDAINNES"  Seignoosse is a little swimming town in the south-west of France ,which is very near of "HOSSEGOR".  Same as the other beach in the"LANDES" (region) ,the beach is unlimited with great sand dunes along the shore.  Why is it better than Hossegor or other beach?  On this part of shore there is no problem with tide!  Consequently we can skim all the day (just here).  The waves are powerful and great; but there is no side wash.  The waves are all year good .  The best period is April to October.

Le Treuil, Oléron Island

Really good shorebreak in this secret spot of Oléron island in the west of France.

La Tranche Sur Mer  Recommended

It's a very great place, here you con find a good wave to surf in Skim (nearly 50 to 100 meter to surf) you can find near to 1 meter to 1.50 meter of shorebreak and the wave is left oriented for a Skimboarder and it's easy to take .  You must have a sea coefficient at least of 80 because it's a reef break when the sea is down so be careful when the sea go down :You can skim for 3 to 4 hours ;you start  skimming 1 to  2 hour before the sea is up.

So have a good skim

La Tranche sur mer is located in France , in the state of Vendée between  "la Rochelle" and "Les sables d'olones"

When you are at "La Tranche sur mer" ask to the surf shop named "le Palmier" where the spot is ;ask for "le Phare" or the other spot "l'embarcadere" (if you have to much big wave to the other spot , go to "l'embarcadere" - you should find a great surprise , the more longest wave to surf in skim - more than 100 meter very great ,you can have more than 1 meter of shorebreak if the waves are here ) so come in France ....

Les Boulassiers

This is a multi-wave spot! We have a left sidewash and 2 big shorebreaks! No swimmers but many surfers. Some rocks and works only with full tide and west - south-west wind! But when it works it is really fun to skim like a surfer trying to imitate Bill Bryan (our master!!) in Laguna Beach!!
