Ohio Rocky River West of Cleveland. You might be thinking its on a lake so it must suck , but about 1/3 of the days out of the summer there are 2 to 3 foot waves. its a lot of fun just to mess around at. If your in rocky river just go to Rocky River public park and its right there. But beware some days you'll get a 5 feet waves and some times it'll be flat ass a mirror so have fun. Mentor on the Lake It is best in late summer/early fall (while it's warm). It can get crowded with lots of little kids, but you can always walk further down to where it is uninhabited. Waves are anywhere from nonexistent to 6 footers. It can be cold, so wetsuits and watersocks are occasionally necessary. Look on any state map and you will find either park. Both are 30 minutes east of Cleveland and in the suburbs. Submitted By: Gretzky1001@aol.com Alum Creek Resevoir Alum Creek Reservoir is located in Columbus . It may be the worst skim on earth , but its all us central Ohio boys got . If you live in central Ohio you know were it is . Its best in summer and it can get kind of crowded . The waves are very small and break close to shore . If you like just freestyling and doing your thing its ok . Also all the local beachgoers will think its neato so you will probably have a crowd . Not bad overall though and I can walk there so.. Submitted By: urbanasualt911@angelfire.com |
