San Diego

People's Wall

The people's wall is generally considered the most consistent spot in San Diego. I have personally caught it pretty good. It works on a high tide and I don't know about the swell direction. There is a sider at the south end of the beach that has been known to work. I have never seen it even close. There is usually a lot of kelp in the water but I have been told that it is sometimes removed by kelp cutters. Like everywhere in San Diego, this place is hit or miss. Probably the first spot to check though.

The people's wall is located in La Jolla. It is near the northernmost end of the point. There is a walkway along the cliffs and it dips down where there is a wall made from a bunch of rocks.  Right in front of this is where the beach is. There are a lot of rocks so be careful.

Marine Street

I have also caught Marine street pretty good. It is south of the people's wall a little bit. I don't know much about this beach but I assume it works best on a high tide. The sand however looks like it changes a lot so it is probably a lot more fickle than the people's wall. Worth checking out.

Located in La Jolla as well Marine Street is oddly enough located on Marine Street. It is on maps.

Windandsea

Windansea is famous for surfing but there is also skimming to be found. Most often the skimming is to the south of the surfing hut. Generally works on a high or rising tide. Like everywhere in San Diego, it cant handle a big swell so bring your surfboard if you think there are going to be any waves.

Windansea is also located in La Jolla. It is south of Marine Street a little ways and should be on a map. Sorry I cant give better directions...

George's

This was and still is sometimes a great skimming spot.  About a year ago they put sand in, which made it have a steep sloping beach with shorebreak/surge right on the sand.  The outside is also great for surfing.UNCROWDED!
