The Bomb

The Bomb is the latest release from the Bryan brothers. Bill
and George worked hard to collect the best skimboarding footage
anywhere. And it is the best footage currently available. The Bomb
features Bill and George Bryan, Jeff Gomez, Chris Henderson, Chris
Rudolph, Morgan Ohlund, Dan McMillian and Ivan Ashauer, and those are
only the skimmers who have their own segments! With Music by,

the Bomb is the perfect thing to get you pumped before going skimming.
Unfortunately the waves may not be as good as they are in the video. But
at least you'll be able to see good waves the TV. 
And good waves you will see. The most amazing footage is of the wedge
where Bill and George tackle double overhead waves, forwards backwards
and everywhere in between. Bill has a couple of absolutely mind blowing
waves. I mean they blew my mind and I skim with him every other weekend
or so. There is also some good footage of Cabo San Lucas Mexico and
various spots in Laguna. There is a segment dedicated to all of the best
moments from the contests of the 94' season. The video is mainly broken
up into segments featuring each of the skimmers listed above
exclusively. The segment however features the best rides of all the
skimmers and it is by far the best. The first segment is set to music by
Justin Warfield and it fits perfect.  The
first five minutes alone are worth the price of the video. The songs by
Pennywise, and Feeble are also good and go well with the footage. The
rest of the songs however are only so so in my never to be confused with
humble opinion. They are mostly some sort of hybrid cross between punk
and rap, perhaps they just don't fit my taste. I think the other songs
go with the footage much better. The entire video is good but it gets a
little dull in the middle compared with the beginning and the end. The
end is really good with the Cabo segment and Bill & George's
segments. And the beginning is really good with the best waves and the
best song. However there is nothing really special about the middle. The
beginning and the end will blow your mind while the middle won't. I
guess its bearable though since the video only clocks in at 30
minutes... that's only 10 - 15 minutes of non-mind blowing skimboarding.
The reason I only gave it a 7 out of 10 was to leave room for
improvement. I am optimistic as to the quality of the next video the
Bryan's will put out. It should be GOOD! But for now this is
definitely the best thing available. If you are going to buy a skimboard
video... this is the one!
