Things I Liked:  There is some really good footage in this video.  I especially liked the Adam McNatt skateboarding, new school skimming and wedge footage.

Things I Didn't Like:  Unfortunately not all of the footage is great.  There is a good deal of "filler" in the video.  The editing was a little sloppy at times and many of the waves could have been cut shorter.  I don't really need to see the entire ride every time.  When I first played it there was no sound at all.  Dominic informed me that this had something to do with Hi Fi audio.  I played it on another VCR and it worked fine... go figure.

Detailed Notes:  First off this video is not strictly a skimboarding video.  It is about half skateboarding.  Also, this video is not sold in retail stores, and is not really geared to be.  It is more of a school project type thing that just happens to be pretty good.  You can only get a copy by contacting Dominic.

The video starts out with a mixed segment of skimming and skating.  Like most of the video, some of this footage is great and some is just so so.  Overall this is a pretty good segment though.

The next segment profiles pro skater Adam McNatt.  I am not a skater, but this is some of the best skate footage I have seen.  It is also cool to hear the skate sounds mixed with the music in the beginning.

Next is a profile of George Bryan.  Like all the riders, there is a short little interview segment.  George gets some decent waves at west street and good wedge sidewashes.  It could have been edited so that the segment moved faster, but its still pretty good.

Garret Lerma's skateboarding segment is next.  Garret gets some good rides but most of this segment is filler and not that impressive.  He definitely clicks some good tricks but doesn't fill out the segment.  Cool old NWA song.

Ryan Ludvigston's segment is pretty similar to Garret's, and suffers from the same problems.  He pulls some cool tricks but most are really slow.  Definitely not pro quality stuff.

Dominic Prietto's own segment is next.  He gets some really good rides and some mediocre ones.  It seems to be about half and half.  Some of the camera work is shakey.

Bill Bryan gets some sick rides in the next segment.  There are also some "less than sick" rides, but overall it is pretty good.  The song kinda drags...

Kurt Bielitz has the last skateboarding segment.  This is the second best skating segment.  There is still some filler footage but most of the footage is pretty good.  Still not pro quality stuff, but getting there.

The video's last segment is a mixture of skateboarding and skimboarding from some different riders and some of the same riders.  There are still a couple of shots here that would have been better put somewhere else but it works out okay.  My only other complaint is that Dominic spelled my name wrong, but I won't hold it against him.  Much of this segment is wipeouts and some of them are pretty good, especially that skateboarder on the rail.  This is a good end to the video.

The credits are kinda awkward because there is some footage of friends just goofing around.  It is the kinda stuff that friends enjoy but is not good for a general audience.

Overall this video has some good footage, but you might have to wait for it.  This makes the video a little slow, which isnt always a bad thing.  Some shots are shown twice, once in slow motion, and that can be cool.  There is a lot of skateboard footage so don't be expecting 35 minutes of skimming.
